Sam Smith has spoken out and opened up about their addiction to tattoos.
Speaking to Roman Kemp behind the stage at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball in London on Saturday, the 30-year-old singer said:
They also explained that they now moved on to tattooing their torso while admitting that eating Cheetos helps them get in the mood for the needle.
The interview comes after the singer surprised their fans at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball wearing a sparkling silver jumpsuit.
Smith came out as non-binary back in 2019 when they claimed they were “at war” with their gender identity for their entire life.
“In the past, if I have ever done a photo shoot with so much as a T-shirt on, I have starved myself for weeks in advance and then picked and prodded at every picture and then normally taken the picture down,” Sam previously said.
“Yesterday I decided to fight the f*** back. Reclaim my body and stop trying to change this chest and these hips and these curves that my mum and dad made and love so unconditionally.
Since their first shirtless picture in years, the singer appeared to embrace their body – something that was seen in the confidence they showcased in their subsequent photoshoots.
