Shannen Doherty has passed away at the age of 53 following a breast cancer diagnosis.
The actor – best known for her roles in 90210, Charmed and Beverly Hills 90210 – was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and spoke openly about her journey with her health.
Earlier today (14 July), Doherty’s publicist confirmed that she’s since passed away.

In 2015, Doherty was diagnosed with ‘invasive breast cancer metastatic to at least one lymph node’.
She underwent a single mastectomy, chemotherapy and other treatments and two years after the actor revealed she was in remission.
She carried on with treatment, sharing her journey along the way, but in 2023, she discovered her cancer had metastasized to her brain and spread to her bones.
Later that year she underwent surgery which removed ‘almost all’ of the tumor from her brain and went on a new infusion plan in early 2024, but sadly she ‘lost her battle with cancer’ yesterday (13 July).
